From Memories to Meaningful Gifts

It began on an afternoon when I finally decided to tackle that cluttered closet I had been avoiding for months. You know the one I mean. As I sifted through piles of items that needed organizing, I discovered a small box hidden in the back: a candle-making kit.

At first, I didn’t think much of it. However, with an upcoming girls' trip on the calendar, I had an idea.

This wasn’t any trip; it was our first getaway since all the weddings, bachelorette parties, and the beautiful chaos that comes with growing up and adulting. After 20+ years of friendship, we were making time for just us again. I wanted to bring something special and meaningful, so I decided to try my hand at candle-making and create a unique candle for each of my girlfriends.

I couldn't stop there. I decided to create a small card to go along with the gift, filled with photos from our past adventures—college spring breaks, weekend getaways, and blurry selfies from nights that turned into mornings. After completing the final candle gift and photo card, my husband suggested we explore options beyond the candle-making kit.

And just like that, Wick & Wonder was born.

At first, we experimented in small batches—mixing scents, testing waxes, laughing over what didn’t work, and celebrating what did. Then we found our rhythm. Our community grew. And before we knew it, we had four fan-favorite scents that people kept coming back for.

But Wick & Wonder is about more than just candles.

The joy of revisiting the past comes from an old photo album. Our candles are not just beautifully scented home décor; they are keepsakes. You can include a cherished photo, a favorite quote, or a handwritten message directly into the candle itself.

It's like capturing a memory and igniting it whenever you need a bit of warmth, both inside and out.
